Melanotan-2 10mg

$40.00

Product Description

Melanotan-2 (MT-2) is a synthetic analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Developed in the 1980s, Melanotan-2 has been shown to increase sexual arousal, reduce compulsive/addictive behavior, curb hunger and increase melanin production. Research has shown the peptide to stimulate melanocytes therefore producing increased skin pigmentation and may help to combat autism when used during early childhood development.

How Does Melanotan-2 Work?

Melanotan II works by binding to and activating specific receptors in the body, primarily melanocortin receptors 1, 3, and 4 (MC-1R, MC-3R, and MC-4R).

  • MC1: Responsible for skin and hair pigmentation.
  • MC3: Involved in appetite regulation and energy balance.
  • MC4: Influences sexual behavior and erectile function.

By binding to these receptors, MT-2 can trigger various effects, including:

  • Increased skin pigmentation: Leading to a tanned appearance.
  • Altered appetite: Potentially suppressing appetite.
  • Enhanced libido: Increasing sexual desire.
  • Reduced compulsive and addictive behaviors: Potentially helpful in treating conditions like addiction and compulsive disorders.
  • Potential neuroprotective effects: May help combat autism spectrum disorder when administered during early childhood development.

Important Considerations

  • Regulatory Status: MT-2 is not approved by the FDA for medical use.
  • Potential Side Effects: MT-2 can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, skin discoloration, changes in appetite, and sexual dysfunction.
  • Long-term Effects: The long-term effects of MT-2 use are unknown.
